Love him or hate him, he sure hits the nail on the head with this! Bill Gates recently gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school. He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world.

Rule 1: Life is not fair – get used to it!

Rule 2 : The world won’t care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

Rule 3 : You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won’t be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.

Rule 4 : If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.

Rule 5 : Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity.

Rule 6: If you mess up, it’s not your parents’ fault, so don’t whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren’t as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent’s generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.

Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they’ll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn’t bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don’t get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.

Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you’ll end up working for one.

Internship at British American Tobacco. Interesting experience gave me insight in FMCG sector and work in corporate environment. I managed my own initial project: Moving consumers down the CDF (Consumer Disposition Funnel) with purpose of switching to BAT brands. It has been challenging project, where I learned more than just using different marketing tools on stages of CDF. Consumer knowledge is in my opinion crucial for success. I would also like to thank management team for feedback which gave me good foundation for further self improvement.

Fast Moving Consumer Goods are products that are sold quickly at relatively low cost. Though the absolute profit made on FMCG products is relatively small, they generally sell in large quantities, so the cumulative profit on such products can be large. Examples of FMCG generally include a wide range of frequently purchased consumer products such as toiletries, soap, cosmetics, teeth cleaning products, shaving products and detergents, as well as other non-durables such as glassware, light bulbs, batteries, paper products and plastic goods. There are three types of Internship for Entrepreneur:

1. Shadowing a successful businessman/entrepreneur
The intern works on projects in his/her company or in a branch of his/her company. The businessmen/entrepreneurs have already ‘made it’ in their previous project(s), and are potentially high-profile. Examples include: Jim Mellon, Luke Johnson, Sir Alan Sugar, Anita Roddick (all these are some of the high-profile supporters of Oxford Entrepreneurs).

2. Project-based work in a company or enterprise that has demonstrated an innovative or forward-thinking culture.
The student will intern in the company on projects relevant to the dynamic side of the business. Examples include: Venture Funds, exciting and relatively young branding and marketing companies, hedge funds, M&A department of a small but dynamic investment bank.

3.Start-up
The intern is placed into a fast-changing and young company where his tasks may well not be structured – he will be working with the founders directly to get the business moving! Examples include any start-up or non-profit organisation with a successful model and potentially fast growth.

I am using Twitter already one month. Kind of like it. It`s popularity is growing worldwide. In Slovenia it has already 125 users. Valuations range of Twitter is from $60 million on the low end to more than $150 million on the high end. And what is impressive. It has only 17 employees.

I just read a post about a car for young entrepreneur. His choices were cars with quite big engines. Price range about 10.000€.

I would prefer Loremo. I hope it will reach mass production soon. I am already on the waiting list.

Measurment and Coaching for Teams and Workgroups 

Meter that mesures team performance is done by objective mesurment in the future oriented meeting. It is scientificly approved. It is excelent point for developing your working if there is a need for.

I am visiting workshop for sourcing EU founds at the moment. It is hosted by Pro Eco consulting company. Tomorrow we will have final meeting, so we will present our ideas and plans. Last year Slovenian companies did not source enough money from EU founds, so we were payers in EU budget. With this program they would like to increase efficient sourcing. For plan till year 2013 is available for Slovenia 5 billion euros of EU founds. There is plenty of investment money, available for good projects. Go and get it…
